Expert available: Carrots recalled in Canada due to E. coli

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has posted a recall for carrots sold in various stores across the country due to E. coli contamination.
The Canada-wide recall comes days after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says one person died and several others were hospitalized in connection with an E. coli outbreak linked to organic carrots.
Symptoms of E. coli include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. Most people recover without treatment, according to the CDC, but in some cases may become hospitalized.
