Experts available to comment on 2024 Olympic Games

 The 2024 Olympic Games are set to begin in Paris on July 26. McMaster has several experts available to comment — from how the body performs under physical and psychological stress, biomechanics and the value of a medal for athletes.

Associate professor Cheryl Quenneville is an expert in biomechanics. She can provide insights on how the study of biomechanics are helping elite athletes break records and perform at their best. quennev@mcmaster.ca

Professor Steven Bray, director of the Exercise and Health Psychology Lab, has studied the psychological factors that can impact physical performance and can discuss the grit needed to complete at an Olympic level. sbray@mcmaster.ca

Professor Martin Gibala, chair of the Department of Kinesiology, can discuss the impact of exercise training and dietary manipulation on sport performance. gibalam@mcmaster.ca

Stuart Phillips, professor of kinesiology, is an expert on strength training, athletic performance, exercise physiology and the use of steroids. phillis@mcmaster.ca
