McMaster experts available to comment on U.S. election

The 2024 U.S. presidential race has been anything but ordinary. McMaster experts can offer insight into the American political landscape, Canada-U.S. relations and the cultural shifts and impacts we’ve seen throughout this election cycle.

Don Abelson, professor of political science and academic director of Wilson College of Leadership and Civic Engagement at McMaster University is an expert on American politics, U.S. foreign policy, and the role of think tanks in shaping public opinion and policy.

He can discuss what the election means for Canada and future relations with the U.S.

Noah Fry is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science. He can discuss how both Democrats and Republicans are competing for the support of blue-collar, middle-class, and unionized voters. He can also speak to the political motives behind U.S. and Canadian trade tariffs.
