About Government Relations
The Public Affairs team manages McMaster’s relationships with government, acting as a conduit between university experts and public officials. It does so through facilitating partnerships that further the university’s own goals and help governments meet their objectives. Serving as a resource for senior leaders and the broader university community, the team supports interactions been university experts and government officials, maintains and enhances those relationships, ensures that all activities are carried out in-line with rules around public advocacy, and identifies new policies and programming that represent opportunities for the university.
